What have I done? Sweet Jesus, what have I done? Become a thief in the night? Become a dog on the run? Have I fallen so far? Is the hour too late, that nothing remains but the cry of my hate? The cries in the dark that nobody hears. Here where I stand at the turning of the years.
I'm not in distress or anything, I just was listening my Les Mis soundtrack, and that last line made me think of New Years. Which coincidentally is when I'm going to go see the musical. Anywho, that's the highlight of my life at this point. I apologize for not updating in like a month and a half. I've been really...I just don't care. However, I do enjoy reading yours, so I'll update every now and then. Christmas was great, New Years will be swell, I hope yours is too.
By the way, we were talking about what happens to your body after you die. Someone told me that the first thing you do is....relieve yourself. If that's true, I'm leaving my will in my back pocket. The ultimate final prank...beautiful

It's been a long time! I guess this thing is losing its appeal. It's got no snap, it's got no crackle....people it's got no pop! Epiphany for the day. I was listening to a friend talk today and this came to mind: I don’t think that people are meant to be by themselves. That’s why if you actually find someone that you care about it’s important to let go of the little things, even if you can’t let go all the way. Because nothing sucks more than feeling all alone, no matter how many people are around...

Ok I’ll humor you all.  Here’s my life as of now.

I’m over the whole mouth thing, the infection’s gone, the swelling’s down, I’m even off antibiotics after two weeks of it or so.  So no more physical problems except perhaps a bit of a lack of sleep.  As far as school goes, the workload is getting crazy.  I had a group paper and a quiz out of the way, but now I have two quizzes tomorrow, a 10 minute presentation in front of my OT class Wednesday, a huge test on Friday and 6 pager on a 650 page book I haven’t started yet.  So right now, I need to read a chapter in two of my books before I go to sleep, 5 more massive textbook chapters before Friday for the test, and start that other book.

I meet with Professor Longman tomorrow morning before chapel to discuss the topic of my 15 page paper due before thanksgiving and to ask him to be my advisor.  Speaking of that, parents, I’m pretty much going to declare religious studies major with a history minor and see where that takes me for now.  Back to Tremper Longman.  He is the most arrogant teacher I’ve ever met.  He assigns his own books in all of his classes, he intentionally brags about how brilliant he is, and he wants no correction from anyone, especially his students.  All of these criticisms come from his mouth; it’s not just me.  He’s brilliant, he knows it, and he flaunts it.  However, I learn a lot from him, and he’s a great guy—plus he’s hilarious.  Maybe he’s a bit too smart for his own good.  Funny this type of attitude comes from a man who devoted his life work to the study of wisdom.  So we’ll see how that goes tomorrow.

Last week I was in this open mic thing for Armington, which is basically just a talent show.  Tim played the guitar, Marty sang and Lessita and I ribbon danced.  We played “Hero” by Enrique Iglesias to the mother of a student that we pulled out of the crowd and danced around her.  It was hilarious if I do say so myself.  The weekend was pretty eventful, messed around with Chad/Rip on Friday, watched soccer, ate burritos shopped for suits, and went to the President’s ball on Saturday.  That was amazing, beautiful decorations, beautiful people, lots of dancing.  Then Sunday I think we ate burritos or something.  On Friday Jason comes to Westmont again, we’ll hang around in the rain and probably go to the Halloween dance.

Well there you have it, I hope it satisfies until next time.  Maybe I’ll post tomorrow just to keep you on your toes!  I’m mysterious like that.  I’m sorry for any lack of direction or grammatical problems in my post.  But it’s mine and I do as I please.  And my parents can testify that I’m not a bastard….ooh, find the intended meaning in that one dad.

PS I apologize for inside jokes you don’t understand…

PPS Wait why am I apologizing?

PPPS Say hello to my parents, they are reading if I haven’t made that clear enough yet.  Most creative hello wins a prize.

When i was in fifth grade i had an fall when colliding with another kid during a game of kickball.  I chipped my front tooth pretty bad, but got it bonded quickly.  Skip ahead to summer 2004.  I was getting the tooth rebonded like i have to periodically when they found a small cyst above the root of that tooth in an xray.  It didn't show any signs of harm or anything and the dentist said that teeth that have been hurt in the past can form cysts like this from the trama they experienced in the past.   But since it wasn't doing anything, we'd keep an eye on it.  So the cyst lay dorment until about last thursday or so when my teeth started hurting some, especially after i had my retainer in at night.  It got really hard to sleep at night so when i came home, saturday morning, i went to the dentist and he said the cyst had been growing and it was pushing against the roots of my teeth.  He scheduled me to see an endodontist on monday to see if the nerves of my teeth were being affected.  After that visit it went downhill.  Saturday night i ended up having to go to sleep with vicodin, which didn't help and it was a miserable night.  Sunday the pain was so bad we had to call the dentist at his house and he told me to take a double dose of vicodin and an insane amount of advil to relieve the pain.  I was really messed up all day, and the vicodin which is supposed to last 4 hours on one pill, only lasted and hour and a half to two hours max on 2 pills.  Over that night my lip and face began to swell up and i didn't sleep well at all.  This morning we found out that the endodontist we needed to get into didn't have any space available.  So we went straight to an oral surgeon.  She told me that the cyst had gotten infected and that one of my front teeth and the one next to it had pretty much died and i'd probably have to get root canals on them.  The pain was terrible at that point, but luckily the oral surgeon managed to find an endodontist who could fit me in today.  So at 11:30 we go to Dr. Lies (haha) office and he performed the beginning of two root canals on me and made incisions in my gums to drain out the infection.  Also he put me on more vicodin and antibiotics.  I felt terrible until just about an hour ago when the infection, which was the only part that hurt, started to drain.  Kind of nasty, but i'm over it, and now i feel much better.  I have to go back and get the root canals finished on wednesday, and i will probably be missing the rest of the week at school.  Also i have to get the cyst removed later in the year at some point.  That's life i guess, i take great care of my teeth, never had a cavity, but now i've had two root canals on my front teeth!  But on the up side, i'm not in pain anymore, but it may be the vicodin talking.  bye.
